“ Overall the pizza itself id give 5 stars. I love grotto pizza, the sweet sauce, and the perfect ratio of cheese to sauce. I'm docking stars due to the service. When we arrived it took a few minutes to be even greeted and sat. Once we sat down service was okay, not super attentive, and we had to wave our server down for drink refills multiple times. Even though the place was empty In addition, while order we chatted with the server about their new Elote pizza and was hyped up. All to find out after we ordered it that they were out of some of the ingredients and couldn't make it. If your trying to sell up a new item, id hope the servers would stay up to date on whether they are able to make it. Overall, we love their pizza but due to overall service we'll probably stick to take out ”

“ Grotto's pizza is a staple in Delaware. You either like it or you don't. I think it's overrated. There's more sauce than cheese in my opinion. The wings were okay. Over sauced and not enough meat on them. My bartender Erin was fabulous! The place was super busy and she was able to keep up with a smile on her face. The orange crush was made to my liking. This seems like a place where many regulars go to hang out. If you are a fan of Grotto's pizza I could see why. ”
“ I truly don't understand the bad reviews. The pizza was super thin and very similar to our OCNJ favorite Manco and Manco. The beach fries were crispy and seasoned with old bay. The wings were huge and juicy with a good kick. The service was solid. Decor was a bit dated but was a solid great meal that left everyone full and happy. ”
